As you may have noticed, Minecraft 1.14 (The Village and Pillage Update) has been released. Yes, that means Panda’s too!!!! As has happened in the past, things take time to update for AddstarMC. While we wait for plugin owners to update their plugins, we need to update our own plugins.
At this stage you will need to continue to join the server with 1.13.2. If your launcher defaults to the “most current version”, then you will need to adjust to 1.13.2 to continue to join AddstarMC. See this tutorial on how to change versions.
Q: When will AddstarMC support 1.14!!!?? Tell me now!!
A: We just don’t know. Please don’t ask, we’ll announce it here AND in Discord Notifications when we have more info.
Q: But I heard Bukkit/Spigot/BungeeCord have started releasing 1.14 versions?
A: Yes, pre-release Spigot/Bungee versions have been released for plugin developers to start updating their plugins, and also for server admins to begin some testing. These are NOT ready for live use.
Q: How long will it take to upgrade once things are released?
A: How long is a piece of string? We don’t know! You will find out more when we know more. Again, look out for updates here and in our Discord Notifications.
So in a nutshell, standby and keep an eye out here and Discord Notifications for updates.
As a final thought, clearly Mojang made a serious mistake bringing Panda’s to Minecraft.. penguins would have been a far superior choice. The joys of add5tar hijacking your post..
**Addendum** 13/05/2019
Following up on this – we have received advice that 1.14 was probably released too early. It has a number of major issues in the area of performance. As a result, we are electing to delay migrating servers to 1.14 until 1.14.1 is released. You may still be able to use a 1.14 client to login as we are introducing some compatibility adapters, however, we advice players to use a 1.13.2 client to get the best experience.
