We are updating to 1.7 protocol which means you will need to be upgraded to play on this server. This is only for compatibility, the map will not change and the new blocks will not be usable. Mojang have announced that 1.7 should be out on Friday, if everything goes well! If you haven’t seen the full list of changes yet, here is a nice summary of them all.
