Build Tools can be used to generate all kinds of shapes, frameworks, outlines. It quickly places, replaces, removes blocks & air. It allows you to quickly and easily generate terrain and really cool looking cave systems and a bunch of other things. You can access the Build Tools Menu with /btm, you will find a handy guide book in the lower right hand side of the GUI.
Build Tools is available for everyone to use in the Competition World, or in the Creative World as part of the Creative Tools Package purchased from the Store.
BuildTools Commands #
/bt | Toggle build tools on/off |

/bt type | Set the build type, for example /bt type cuboid |
/bt pattern | Set a pattern type, for example /bt pattern random |
/bt undo | Undoes the last build tools action performed. |
/bt redo | Redoes the last build tools action that you undid using /bt undo |
Build types #
Cave | Generates a standard cave. |
Copy | Copies the blocks within the selected area to your clipboard. |
Cuboid | Creates a basic cuboid between your two points. |
Cylinder | Creates a cylinder with the first point being the centre of the cylinder and the second point being the radius and height/length. |
Measure | Measures the area you select with block placing and/or breaking, then prints out the details in chat. |
Overlay | Overlays the blocks in the area of the two points. The overlay will not go above or below your selected area. Breaking away the terrain wlil remove the top layer of blocks, placing will put the bloccks on top of the already existing blocks. |
Paste | Pastes the last thing that you copied to your clipboard. The first block you placed in the copy is the reference point for where the paste will go. |
Sphere | Creates a sphere. The first block you place/break will be the centre, the second will be the radius from the centre. |
Terrain | Creates terrain between your selected area. The height difference between the two placed blocks will determine how hilly the terrain will be. |
Terrain_blob | Creates cave-like blobs. |
Pattern types #
Frame | Creates a hollow line frame |
Hollow | Creates the shape with a hollow interior |
None | Removes all pattern types set |
Random | Places blocks randomly within defined area. Default is 50% blocks, 50% air. The percentage of blocks can be changed with /bt pattern random # |
Wall | Creates a hollow wall around the shape with no floor of ceiling. |
